it's what i do

Knitting patterns and blog ramblings about knitting and sewing. ... and gardening, and cooking. Basically all the makes. There's a lot of strange knowledge in my brain that I'm hoping can do some good out in the world.

Welcome to akabini, land of Unpatterns!

Unpatterns are a design tool to help the independent knitter navigate the new landscape of basic sweater design. Each Unpattern gives you a road map for a specific style of sweater - pullover or cardigan? sleeveless or with sleeves? top down or bottom up?

You can view the whole gallery of Unpatterns over at Patternfish, where they are available for download. Print copies are also available at select LYS (Local Yarn Stores) around the U.S.

And if you're on Ravelry, you can see what kinds of projects other knitters have been working up with their Unpatterns - the options are nearly endless!
